Found Treasures

Ladder and wagon wheels...
Barrels from the wine cellar...
Crucifixes from the house...
Old glass wine jugs...
An old moss-covered wagon in the livestock barn with its pretty blue painted wheel...
Baskets stacked high in the corner next to the stone bread overn...
An old bicycle that Jane's boys found tucked into some thick brush...
My imagination ran wild, of course when Jane showed it to us. The French Resistance was very active in the Lot. Perhaps this was a maquis' bicycle hidden away for secret missions to blow up the railroad tracks along the Lot? Perhaps this house sheltered Resistance fighters on the run from the German army? Perhaps....
The very best found treasure of all...good friends!
Laury, Yves & Jane!
