In the Details



The church of Saint-Julien in Lunegarde dates from the 12th century and was probably fortified during the Hundred Years War (1337-1453). Its very plain, almost austere exterior certainly belies the treasures inside. Not only is the nave decorated with the beautiful frescoes I showed you yesterday, but the church also houses a small collection of priestly vestments....
