The Finished Products

Foie Gras
Christiane shared two cookbooks with me full of mouth-watering recipes. One that really got me salivating was fettucine with chunks of foie gras and morel mushrooms sauteed in butter.
Yes, that's a thick layer of artery-hardening fat at the top, but it's so yummy! Surely just a little won't hurt?

I promise you'll get a photo of the big jars of duck confit...just as soon as I get over my head cold and get back to Christiane's to snap one.


  1. Thanks for the update....sorry about the head cold. I hope someone has told you about the homeopathic remedy L52. Get some at the pharmacy, and start taking it as directed. After the cold is gone, continue to take 20 drops daily. It's great preventative remedy.

    And I have a request - at some point, will you stick a French newspaper into your suitcase and mail it to me once you're back in the States? I'll gladly reimburse you. I saw some neat ideas and newsprint in another language would be perfect. :)
