Market Remembrances

The past few days I've been following Laury's blog, Soar-Dream-France with special interest. She's been writing about her favorite French markets. Her photos and her comments have brought back so many memories! I'll never forget my very first market experience in Provence. Mickey and I hit Lourmarin just as the market was winding down, but I still managed to find a gorgeous wool challis scarf...the first of many French scarves I'd collect in my visits. While I don't have access to photos of those Provencal markets, I do have some from my market excursions here in the Lot in 2009 and 2010. I've put them together for your enjoyment...and mine! They're from markets in Cajarc, Figeac, Villefranche, Cahors, Collioure and Limogne. One of the best things about going to market is sharing the experience with friends and enjoying lunch or a coffee afterwards; I've included some of those remembrances as well. The music accompanying the slide show is Django Reinhardt playing 'Swing 42
