Seven in the morning and everything is snow-covered, a drift of fog follows the river valley. As I stood on the deck, I heard an elk bugle (Travis says the spike bulls will bugle this time of year) and a small herd of deer wandered up the hill in back of the house.
By mid-morning, the valley is green again. The ribbon of silver you can see in the middle of the photo is the Yellowstone River. I told Becky if I lived here I'd never get anything done...I'd spend all my time on the deck enjoying the view!
